Located on the edge of Thar Desert,Jodhpur,founded in 1459 by Rao jodha, was once the capital of the powerful state of Marwar.It is still a marvelously medieval city.

JAISALMER

An exotic desert town that was once on the caravan route into Central Asia-Jaisalmer is a golden city, for the entire town, its fort, its magnificent mansions and markets are all built out of the rich golden sandstone typical of area.
