The Interactive Telephone Enquiry (IVR) System facilitates enquiries such as reservation availability, current status of Waitlisted / RAC tickets of any trains on the Indian Railways Network. |

The interactive Telephone Enquiry facility is available at Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchchirppalli, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Calicut, Trichur, Quilon, Kottayam, Mangalore and Salem. Passengers from any other city can avail of this facility by making STD calls to any of the cities mentioned above where IVRs are provided. The Interactive Telephone Enquity is available in 3 languages. |

This new facility enables the passenger to find out the status of his reservation by keying in the PNR no. of his ticket. This facility is now available at Chennai Central Station. The passengers can get the confirmation of their ticket without any telephone call charge involved. |

The Touch Screen Information System, provides esay real-time access to information about reservation availablity, status of waitlisted RAC tickets etc. Touch screen information terminals have been provided at select stations/ Reservation offices for the convenience of passengers. |

To learn about the current status of your reserved ticket, enter the PNR number on the numeric touch pad available on the screen, by simply touching it. On entering the PNR Number and touching the display button, the current status of the ticket is instantly displayed on the screen. For availability position, enter the train number and date of journey, by following the instructions on the screen. Once the information has been entered, touching the display button will give you the details of the availability o bearths/seats on trains. |
