Cloakroom |
||
Most major stations have cloakrooms and lockers where you can leave your luggage for upto one month, on payment of prescribed charges. This passenger amenity ensures safe custody of your luggage, giving you the freedom to spend a day or two as you desire. |
||
The process of depositing your luggage in the cloakroom has been simplified for your convenience. All you have to do is to deposit the luggage duly locked, where upon a receipt will be given to you. This receipt, duly signed as an acknowledgement of having received your luggage, should be surrendered alongwith the prescribed charges at the time of delivery. Delivery of luggage will not be done without the surrender of your receipt. |

RETIRING ROOMS AND DORMITORIES |

Another passenger amenity provided at several important stations is AC and NON-AC Retiring Rooms and Dormitories. These serve as transit accommodation for passengers. Only those holding a valid ticket for an inward/outward journey are eligible to apply for the use of Retiring Rooms and dormitory beds, at a reasonable cost. |

How to apply for accommodation at the Retiring Rooms and Dormitories? |
||
Application Forms are available with the Station Managers/Matron in-charge of the Retiring Rooms/ Dormitories. You will also be required to present your journey tickets alongwith the completed Application Form.

The allotment of Transit Accommodation |
||
The rooms/beds will be allocated by the Station Manager/Matron based on availability. The genuineness of the passengers holding the ticket, will first be verified prior to the allotment of rooms/beds. You will also be required to pay the stipulated charges, before the keys of the room are handed over, or the bed number in the dormitory is intimated to you.

| The charges will be collected for the full day irrespective of period of stay. In case the retiring room is occupied for more than one day, the charge from the subsequent day will be 25% more for each day. The Tariff is available with the Matron. | ||||

OTHER PASSENGER AMENITIES AVAILABLE AT STATIONS |
||||
Wheel Chairs and Stretchers |
||||
These are available at certain stations and can be obtained from the Station Manager. The rate payable to porters for assistance with Wheel chair, can be obtained from the Station Manager. Stretchers are also available at select stations for the use of needy passengers. |
||||
Medical Aid |
||||
Medical aid for traveling public is provided by the Railways as a matter of courtesy. A First Aid Box is available with all Station Managers and also with the Guards of each trains, who are trained in rendering First Aid. |
||||
For emergencies on train, please contact the TTE/Train Superintendent. They will pass on a message to the next station, where a Railway Doctor can attend to the patient at a nominal prescribed charge. |
||||
Wherever hospitalisation is required, the patient may need to discontinue his journey. In such instances suitable arrangements will be made to guide him to the Government Hospital. |
||||
Names of private Practitioners, Nursing Homes and Government Hospitals, with Telephone Numbers, Addresses and distance from the station are displayed at all stations.

Catering |
||||
Catering facilities are available at all important stations. Fast food counters are provided at Renigunta, Secunderabad, Guntur, Vijaywada, and Guntakal Railway Stations. Non-Vegetarian restaurants are available at Secunderabad and Vijaywada railway stations. |
||||
Passengers are requested to order their requirements specially in advance either to the Catering Courier deputed on some of the important trains or to the Guard/Conductor of the train to facilitate meals being served at the nominated stations. |
||||
Standard thali meals (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) will be served in Refreshment Rooms, Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are being served in trains either from Base Kitchen or from Pantry Car.

Bed Rolls | ||||
1. Bed rolls will be supplied free of charge to the passengers of AC I class, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier classes of all trains, including Rajdhani Express trains. |
||||
2. Bed rolls will also be supplied to the passengers travelling in I class, provided is made to the Stations Manager of the originating station, atleast two hours before the scheduled departure of the train, subject to availability of stock and on payment of Rs.20/- per bed roll, per journey. |
||||
3. Bed roll consists of following: |

Bed sheets -- 2; Face Towel -- 1; Blanket -- 1; Pillow with cover -- 1. |
||||
Please return the bedrolls to the Coach Attendent well in advance before the arrival of the train at the destination station.

Availability of Porters |
||||
Licensed Porters are at most stations to carry your luggage. These Licensed Porters shall carry your luggage at stations on payment of prescribed rates notified from time to time and displayed at the stations. Facilities for carrying heavier luggage by trolleys at specified rates are also available. All the rates for porterage are displayed at stations at prominent locations. |
||||
Please note the number of the Porter engraved on the metal arm plate he wears, if he misbehaves or overcharges you, then report the matter to Station Manager/Station Superintendent immediately. The license of the Porter can be suspended for misconduct.
